WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE LAW NO. 6698 ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
As EMC Medya Yayıncılık Ticaret Limited Şirketi (hereinafter referred to as the “COMPANY”), we show maximum sensitivity regarding the security of your personal data. Accordingly, all types of personal data belonging to all individuals associated with the COMPANY (including those benefiting from our products and services) shall be processed and preserved in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as "LPPD"). In our capacity as the “Data Controller,” we fulfill this responsibility as explained below and within the limits prescribed by the legislation.
Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data may be processed within the scope of Law No. 6698 for the purposes of providing you with better service; conducting the necessary work to enable you to benefit from the products and services offered by the COMPANY; providing and presenting various advantages; delivering news, announcements, notices, information, promotions, and campaign notifications regarding the field of arts and artistic events and the sector; conducting advertising and promotional activities; analyzing your preferences and usage habits regarding the products and services offered by the COMPANY; ensuring the legal and commercial security of persons in a business relationship with the COMPANY; determining and implementing the COMPANY’s commercial and strategic plans; sending event invitations, event newsletters/informative articles; performing data analysis and research; conducting the COMPANY’s human resources activities; and providing all similar services.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your collected personal data may be transferred to our business partners, suppliers, shareholders, affiliates, legally authorized public institutions, and private persons—within the framework of the conditions specified in the LPPD—for the purposes of carrying out the necessary work by our business units to benefit you from the products and services offered by the COMPANY; suggesting products and services according to preferences, usage habits, and needs; ensuring the legal and commercial security of persons in a business relationship with the COMPANY; and determining and implementing the COMPANY’s commercial strategies and human resources activities.
Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data may be processed by the COMPANY through all kinds of channels (branches, internet, etc.) in written, oral, and/or electronic media for the purposes described above. This information is recorded to ensure that the services provided to you are flawless, notifications (telephone, SMS, e-mail, etc.) are delivered on time, and information is provided to the extent required by contractual and/or legal obligations or in case of necessity.
Rights of the Personal Data Subject
As personal data subjects, if you submit your requests regarding your rights to the COMPANY using the methods specified below in this Clarification Text, your request will be finalized within thirty days at the latest, depending on its nature. However, if the process requires an additional cost, the fee determined in the tariff by the Personal Data Protection Board shall be charged by the COMPANY. In this context, pursuant to Article 11 of Law No. 6698, data subjects have the right to:
Learn whether personal data is being processed,
Request information if personal data has been processed,
Learn the purpose of the processing of personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
Know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred domestically or abroad,
Request rectification of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed and request notification of this correction to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
Request the erasure or destruction of personal data in the event that the reasons requiring its processing cease to exist, despite having been processed in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 6698 and other relevant laws, and request notification of this process to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
Object to the occurrence of a result against the person himself/herself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
Request compensation for damages in case of loss due to unlawful processing of personal data.
Application Procedures
In accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 13 of the LPPD, you may submit your request regarding the exercise of the above-mentioned rights to the COMPANY in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. Since the Board has not yet determined a specific method, you must submit your application to the COMPANY in writing.
